Dedicated to the preservation of Hip-hop culture and all of its elements, IMCA believes that educating people in the roots and diversities of the culture as a whole is an important key to the survival of the art form. People of all ages need a forum where they can learn what Hip-hop is really about, away from the commercial aspects that are most available to us. It is with this idea in mind that the IMCA will begin to launch several programs to set an example for the entire world to know the true essence of Hip-hop culture.
The International Microphone Controllers Association,LLC, IMCA, was conceived in 1997 by a young MC from Mississippi named Slyc Biskut. The idea was to give individual MCs a platform to compete in a structured, sport-like environment with the benefits of a member association. Today, International Microphone Controllers Association, LLC is an association of entertainment professionals from many genres and provides services such as market consultation, product development and fulfillment, artist management, music production, graphic design, and telecommunications.
